About us
**Support for the Supporters** was created on the belief that the people who care for others deserve care too. Led by John Allsop, an experienced Social Worker with extensive experience in the disability sector, Support for the Supporters provides confidential, independent wellbeing support for disability support workers, team leaders, coordinators and managers. We understand the emotional impact of supporting people through complex behaviours, trauma, grief, family conflict and challenging situations, and we provide a safe space to debrief, reflect and build resilience.
Our service helps NDIS providers strengthen staff wellbeing, reduce burnout, improve retention and create healthier workplace cultures. Sessions are practical, compassionate and tailored to the needs of individuals and organisations, with no lock-in contracts and flexible delivery options.
By supporting the mental health of those on the frontline, providers can foster more confident, resilient teams that are better equipped to deliver consistent, high-quality supports to participants. When we invest in the wellbeing of support workers, everyone benefits—including the people they support.
